Access¶
Why does the Standards page say it isn’t enabled?¶
The Industry Standards feature is off for your organization. It’s included in the Enterprise plan, and a site administrator can turn it on for other organizations. See Feature flags.
Why can’t I open the Standards page at all?¶
The page is for organization administrators. Other members see it in the sidebar but can’t open it. You can still use enabled standards in the ontology generator and the New Ontology wizard.
Why can’t I see a particular standard in the generator?¶
Only enabled standards are offered. An organization administrator turns each standard on with its Enabled switch on the Standards page. Enabling a standard affects only your organization.
Search¶
Does search cover every standard in the product?¶
No. Search covers only the standards your organization has enabled, and the standard filter lists only those.
Why does it say search is unavailable?¶
The message “Standards is not configured in this environment” means the search service isn’t set up for your Kenseme environment. You can still enable standards and use them in the generator and wizard. Ask your administrator.
Where does the description under each standard come from?¶
It’s an AI summary Kenseme writes when it loads each standard’s current version. Until a standard has been summarized, you see the description from the catalog. Kenseme also writes a concept outline that only the ontology generator sees, so the agent knows the standard’s shape before it searches it.
Importing¶
What’s the difference between an exact import and an agent-generated one?¶
Standards published as RDF are imported exactly from their own files, with nothing invented. Other standards are drafted by the generation agent using the standard as its source. The wizard picks the route from the standard’s format, shows an Exact import or Agent-generated badge, and spells out what will happen in a banner.
Why does FIBO make me pick modules?¶
FIBO is spread across hundreds of RDF modules. Importing one file at random produced only a handful of entities instead of the thousands FIBO defines. So grouped standards show a required Modules to import checklist, and you must pick at least one module. Anything your chosen modules depend on comes along automatically.
Can I import only part of a standard?¶
Yes. For most RDF standards, open Limit to a class family and pick up to 20 classes. For a grouped standard, pick modules. For an agent-generated standard, describe the part to focus on. Leave the scope empty to import the whole standard, except for grouped standards, which always need a module selection.
Why is my import still running?¶
Standard imports run in the background because merging a large standard takes time. The wizard’s Done step confirms the ontology was created and is importing. Follow it with Where to watch background jobs.
What’s the difference between grounding a generation in a standard and importing it?¶
Grounding gives the standard to the AI as reference while it models your business, so the result uses the standard’s vocabulary. Importing brings the standard’s own classes into an ontology. See Search and use industry standards.
