Organization Settings
What an organization is
An organization is the top-level container in Kenseme. Everything you build lives inside one: schemas, Pipelines, ontologies and their bindings, glossaries, processes, attributes, labels, connections, and the people who work on them. Nothing crosses from one organization to another.
In the app: Settings › Organization Settings
Why organizations exist¶
- Isolation. Each organization’s content is kept apart from every other organization’s. A person who belongs to two organizations sees only the one they’re working in.
- A clean boundary. Use separate organizations for separate companies, customers, or business units that should never share models.
- One plan, one team. Your plan, seats, and AI usage allowance belong to the organization. See Plans and pricing.
What belongs to an organization¶
- Schemas and everything in them, plus star schema plans and Pipelines.
- Ontologies, their versions, bindings, and sync history.
- Glossaries, processes and process documents, and the industry standards you’ve imported.
- Custom attribute groups and definitions, and labels.
- Saved database connections and Fabric credentials.
- Members, their roles, and pending invitations.
- Background jobs that ran for any of the above.
What doesn’t¶
- Your personal account (name, email, time zone). See Edit your account profile.
- Sign-in itself.
- System Administration, the cross-organization area used by Macula staff.

When the organization is read-only¶
If the organization has been made read-only, for example because a payment is past due, Organization Settings shows a banner at the top and the buttons that change anything are disabled. You can still look at everything. See Account states and read-only mode.
Switching organizations¶
If you belong to more than one organization, switch between them from the header. See Switch between organizations.
