Switch between organizations

You can belong to several Kenseme organizations, for example one per business unit or per client. You work in one at a time. Everything you see, from schemas and ontologies to users and billing, belongs to the current organization.

In the app: click the organization name in the header

Switch to another organization

  1. Click the organization name at the top right of the header. It has a small edit icon and the tooltip Change Organization.
  2. The Organizations page opens. The top card shows your Current Organization.
  3. In Available Organizations, find the one you want. Type in Search organizations... to filter a long list.
  4. Click its row.

Kenseme switches to that organization and opens its Home page. You stay signed in.

The Role column shows your role in each organization. Kenseme remembers your choice, so next time you sign in you land in the organization you used last.

If the organization name isn’t clickable

The name is clickable only when you belong to more than one organization. If you expected to see another one, ask its admin to invite you. See Accept an invitation.

Suspended organizations

An organization that a Kenseme administrator has suspended shows a Suspended badge.

  • If you’re one of its admins, you can still open it to see the reason and resolve it.
  • If you’re not an admin, the row shows a lock and you can’t open it. Clicking it shows “This organization has been suspended by an administrator. Changes are disabled. Contact support if you believe this is an error.”

What changes when you switch

  • Changes: everything in the sidebar and on Home shows the new organization’s content, users, settings, plan and background jobs.
  • Stays the same: your account profile and time zone, which belong to you, not to an organization.
