Start a trial or redeem a code

A trial lets you use Kenseme free for seven days, with no credit card, so you can try it against your own data before you choose a plan. You start a trial by entering a trial code when you set up your organization.

Before you start

  • You need a trial code. Codes look like BLZ-XXXX-XX and are issued by the Kenseme team. If you don’t have one, use the email link under the trial code field in the setup wizard to ask the Kenseme sales team.
  • You need a Kenseme account that doesn’t belong to an organization yet. See Sign up and the onboarding wizard.

Redeem a code

  1. In step 1 of the setup wizard, enter your Organization name.
  2. Select I have a trial code.
  3. Enter the code in the Trial code field.
  4. Click Continue. Kenseme checks the code before going on.
  5. Finish the remaining steps. On the last step, Your trial is ready, click Go to my workspace →.

Kenseme creates your organization, starts the trial and opens Home. A banner there counts down the days: “Trial · N days left — you’re on the Business feature set.”

If the code is refused

The reason appears under the field, and nothing is created:

Message What it means
That trial code was not recognized. The code is mistyped or doesn’t exist.
That trial code has already been used. Each code works once, for one organization.
That trial code has been revoked. The Kenseme team withdrew the code.
That trial code has expired. The code had a redemption deadline, and it has passed.

For a new code, contact the Kenseme sales team through the email link under the trial code field in the setup wizard.

What a trial includes

  • Seven days from the moment you finish setup.
  • The Business feature set, without Fabric sync. That includes database binding, the Data Agent and the star schema designer.
  • An AI usage allowance of half the Team plan’s monthly amount, so you can try description generation, the ontology generator and the Data Agent.
  • Seats. 🚩 TODO: the wizard says a trial includes 3 seats, but the plan catalog sets the trial to 1 seat. Confirm which is intended.

When the trial ends

You can choose a paid plan at any time. You don’t have to wait for the trial to end. Go to Settings › Billing & Plan and click Choose a plan. See Manage your plan and billing.

If the trial ends without a plan, the organization becomes read-only. All your content stays and you can still read it, but you can’t change, generate or export anything until you subscribe. Billing & Plan then reads “Your trial ended on \. Choose a plan to restore full access.” See Account states and read-only mode.
