Review outgoing emails

The Outgoing Emails tab is your organization’s record of the emails Kenseme sent on its behalf: invitations, welcome notices, usage warnings, and billing messages. Use it to answer “did the invite actually go out?” and to resend an email that failed.

In the app: Settings › Organization Settings › Outgoing Emails tab

The Outgoing Emails tab with the Type, Search, From, and To filters above a grid of sent emails.

Before you start

You need the Admin role.

What’s recorded

Type Sent when
Invitation You invite someone, or resend an invitation.
Added to organization Someone is added to the organization directly rather than invited.
Usage threshold The organization approaches or reaches its AI usage allowance.
Trial ending A trial is close to its end.
Payment failed A subscription payment fails.

Each row shows when it was Sent, its Type, the Receiver, the Subject, and a Status:

  • Sent — the mail service accepted the email.
  • Failed — it didn’t. The detail view shows the error.

A Resend pill next to the status marks an email that was itself a resend of an earlier one.

Note: Sent means the email left Kenseme. It doesn’t prove the message reached the inbox; spam filters can still hold it. If someone says an invitation never arrived, you can also copy the invitation link and send it yourself. See Invite people to your organization.

Find an email

Narrow the list with the filters above the grid:

  • Type — one type, or All types.
  • Search — part of the receiver’s address or the subject.
  • From and To — a date range, in your own time zone. Both dates are included.

Click Clear to reset every filter. The grid shows 25 emails per page, newest first.

Preview an email

Click any row to open the Outgoing Email dialog. It shows:

  • Details: type, status, receiver, when it was sent, and the subject.
  • The error, if the email failed.
  • Links between attempts. A resent email shows “Resend of an earlier attempt from …” with View original. An email that was resent lists its later attempts under Resent as, each with View.
  • Preview: the email exactly as it was sent.

Resend a failed email

The Resend button appears only on emails whose status is Failed.

  1. Open the failed email.
  2. Click Resend.
  3. Confirm. Kenseme sends the stored email to the same receiver again.

The new attempt appears in the list as its own row with the Resend pill.

Tip: For an invitation, it’s usually better to use the resend icon under Pending Invitations on the Users tab. That issues a fresh link with a new expiry date, while resending from here sends the original message and link unchanged.
