System administration

Admins only: System Administration is for site administrators, the Macula staff who operate Kenseme. If Settings › System Administration isn’t in your sidebar, this section doesn’t apply to you. Organization admins run their own organization from Organization Settings.

System Administration is the cross-organization view of the whole deployment. Use it to check the platform’s health, investigate errors, look up people, and manage any organization’s membership, features, and billing.

The tabs

Changing tabs updates the address, so you can bookmark or share a link to any tab.

Feature flags

The Feature Flags tab sets the same optional features an organization admin sees on their Features tab, but for any organization.

  1. Pick an organization from the Organization drop-down (Select an organization...). You can type to filter.
  2. Tick or clear each feature.

Dependencies are applied the same way as for organization admins: turning on the Data Agent also turns on Bind to Database, and so on. Features the organization’s plan includes are shown ticked and can’t be cleared; they read “Included in plan”. See Feature flags for what each feature does.

What System Administration doesn’t do

  • Edit an organization’s content. Schemas, ontologies, and glossaries are always worked on inside the organization.
  • Reset passwords or change sign-in methods. Those belong to the identity provider.
  • Delete organizations. Disabling one keeps all of its data.
